Death & Dying

O Lord, let me know my end
and what is the measure of my days;
Let me know how fleeting life is.
And now, O Lord, what do I wait for?
My hope is in you.
Ps.39:4,7

The poignant words of Psalm 39 come alive when we are confronted with impending death - our own or that of a loved one. Among the many conflicting emotions that confront us when a death occurs are the realities we must face and the preparations we must make.

Until we are faced with the responsibility of "making arrangements", we tend to give little thought to planning for such a moment or to the myriad of details, tasks and duties that are required when someone dies.

This web page endeavours to provide the individual or family with resources that may be helpful for those charged with the care of the dying, or the death of a loved one.
