How will education build a church of communion?

Education in faith is important. The more aware we are, the better able we will be to take our place in the faith community and live out our baptismal call. Like the stories that are told in a family, having information about and knowing the ‘stories’ of our faith gives us a sense of belonging. Knowing where we are in the journey of our parish, our archdiocese and the universal church is important.

How will your gift be used in support of this priority?

It will:

• Provide the opportunity and the ability to offer faith formation programs for adults and children.
   
• Provide support to catechists, teachers and liturgy committees through ongoing formation.
   
• Provide enriching faith experiences such as guest speakers at deanery and regional gatherings.
   
• Directly support our Catholic Schools.
   
• Continue to allow our local church to be connected to the church in the rest of Canada through regional and national organizations.
   
• Support ongoing diocesan programs such as: Nathanael, seminarian education, the permanent diaconate and chaplaincy.
