Updated: March 6, 2020

  • With Archbishop Richard Gagnon's encouragement and the recommendation of our Synod, lectio divina is being taught in parishes and organizations throughout the Archdiocese. Groups are encouraged to pray through lectio before their meetings/gatherings.
  • Listening Sessions are occurring throughout the Archdiocese in accord with Phase 1 of Synod Implementation:
    • Good Shepherd Parish, Portage la Prairie
    • St. Vital Parish, Winnipeg
    • St. Viator's Parish, Dauphin
    • Blessed Sacrament Parish, Elie
    • St-Francois Xavier Parish, St-Francois Xavier
    • Notre Dame Parish, Toutes Aides
    • St. Anthony Parish, Rorketon
  • A commission has been established, under the leadership of Fr. John Okosun, to review and update the Norms for Parish Pastoral Councils in the Archdiocese of Winnipeg.
  • The Archdiocese's Pastoral Services staff will meet with Linda Chiupka, Synod Implementation Coordinator, on March 19, 2020. Following the meeting, a description will be published by each Archdiocesan Pastoral Office describing what they are doing to support Synod Implementation in parishes.
