Inviting all Youth and Young Adults to our local celebration of the 37th World Youth Day!

The Youth and Young Adult Ministries of the Archdiocese of Winnipeg & St. Boniface are coming together to celebrate Diocesan World Youth Day. This will be a celebration of our faith and our calling to be witnesses of God's love as young people today. The theme for our World Youth Day Celebration is "Fiat Mihi". This is inspired by the theme; “Mary arose and went with haste." (Luke 1:39) taken from the message of Pope Francis for the 37th World Youth Day 2022-2023.

Pope Francis Message

What is Diocesan World Youth Day?

Every year, the Church is called to reflect upon and celebrate youth and young adults! Diocesan World Youth Day is the global celebration of young people that takes place annually on the Solemnity of Christ the King, which will be on Sunday, November 20, 2022 in every diocese and community around the world, including at the Vatican with the Holy Father. This local celebration brings the opportunity to experience a festival of faith that includes witnessing, communion, and prayer similar to the international experience of World Youth Day (WYD). Every 2-3 years World Youth Day is celebrated internationally. The next World Youth Day will take place from August 1-6, 2023 in Lisbon, Portugal with the Holy Father giving a chance for young people around the world to come together to pray, worship and celebrate the Catholic Faith.

Save the dates! This will be a week of celebrating our faith! (Venues will be announced soon).
